Babies Make Things Better -- ANIMAL Babies, That is!

Wheee! Baby geese! I made some friends in the woods today, and while I know many people don't like Canada geese, I really am hard pressed to dislike any species of animal, particularly babies. Tell me these little fluffy things aren't adorable!

GEEEE! Their SO cute and FUZZY! I want to hold one and squeeze it and love it forever...or at least until it gets to be an adult. I love webbed bird feet because they always look too big for bird bodies hahahahaha...so cute.

*heehee* They are very cute!! I don't mind them as long as I don't have to step in their poo. ;)

You need to send some of your pictures to ICanHasCheezeburger with appropriate captions.

Aw! The other night another driver and I had to stop our cars so a "goose family" could cross one of the busy streets by my office. They seem to like our suburbs a lot, but they worry me with all that street-crossing.

Thanks, guys. They are indeed cute and I got lucky with the setting sunlight. I'd send an LOLGoose in, but I can't come up with anything funny to put on them, Gardenbuzzy. Feel free to do so yourself!

Kate:
I just read something about Canada geese being unable to fly for about a month during the summer when they lose their flying feathers. Upon further thought, I realized that there are a few weeks of the summer when the Canada geese who live in the pond a few blocks from my house actually WALK over, across a busy street, up the main road, down a cul-de-sac, and into the field where we have big bird feeders. I always wondered why they walked and didn't just fly, but I guess this explains it. Kinda scary, but I do so LOVE the sweet slapping sounds of their feet on the pavement. Too cute!

You can load pictures onto ICanHasCheezeburger and then go back and add a caption later, if one presents itself. If the Powers That Be at LOLCats likes your picture, they may use it as a daily picture. I'd sure love to see some of yours there.
I've put a couple of pics of my cats on there with captions, but they haven't been chosen so far.

Interesting fact about the geese! I still have no idea why they like to hang out near the largest mall on the East Coast (my office is across the street). Maybe the grass has good eats or something and they don't seem to mind the traffic at all.
